Max Downham

Executive Director of International College of Surgeons


Max is a senior corporate executive with 30 plus years of global experience in International business development and corporate strategic management. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the International College of Surgeons.

Max also served as Corporate Vice President for Nutri-Sweet. He was responsible for strategic operations and global business coordination in Europe, North America and Japan, including development and management of Joint Alliance with the Ajinomoto Company, Tokyo, with cumulative revenue exceeding one billion dollars. After graduating from Purdue with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Max served in the US Navy as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare Officer Instructor. He received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1965.
